ANTWERP, Oct 27 (Hina) - Croatia must take a step forward in
developing its ports, and representatives of the Belgian port of Antwerp have
offered their assistance in training Croatian port experts, Croatian President
Stjepan Mesic said during a visit to the city on Thursday. "Billions
of euros are invested in Antwerp because there is a concept and the interest
of the business and banking sectors, and we must do the same in Croatia," Mesic
said.
On his visit to Antwerp, among the five largest ports in the world,
Mesic was accompanied by representatives of the Croatian Adriatic sea ports of
Dubrovnik, Rijeka, Split and Ploce and the Danube river port of Vukovar.
The Croatian president arrived in Belgium on Thursday for a two-day
visit.
