This meeting of tax advisors, accountants and auditors is expected to encourage the harmonisation of tax rates in the countries participating in the conference, because this is of vital importance for their economic development, said the head of the Austrian Chamber of Tax Advisors, Alfred Brogyanyi.
The seminar is being attended by more than 500 participants from Austria, Croatia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Slovenia, as well as representatives of the European Commission.
Croatia is the only non-EU country attending the Vienna event. It is represented by a state secretary at the Finance Ministry, Ante Zigman.
The seminar lasts until October 21.
