The event, organised under the aegis of the Central Government Office for e-Croatia, brought together company managers, IT department heads, security system administrators, system engineers and consultants.
The conference heard that computer security was a very important topic in Croatia, where every month about 1,000 Microsoft users visit local Microsoft Internet pages to learn about a given security concern.
More than 50 per cent of decision makers in medium-sized firms have expressed their interest in security in IT systems, it was said.
In March this year Croatia set up a national information security programme, the framework document whose main purpose is to launch the systematic process of introducing information security in the country.
Apart from technology, the conference will also focus on IT management systems.
