The musical, performed by actors from the Croatian National Theatre from Rijeka, received enthusiastic applause from Croatian President Stjepan Mesic and his colleagues Alfred Moisiu of Albania, Heinz Fischer of Austria, Ivo Miro Jovic of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Vaclav Klaus of the Czech Republic, Carlo Azeglio Ciampi of Italy, Laszlo Solyom of Hungary and Branko Crvenkovski of Macedonia as well as Vladimir Voronin of Moldavia, who arrived in Zagreb on Wednesday.
Presidents of Serbia-Montenegro and Lithuania, Svetozar Marovic and Valdas Adamkus respectively, arrived in Zagreb on Thursday evening after the the start of the musical.
Presidents of Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia, Georgi Parvanov, Aleksandar Kwasniewski, Traian Basescu, Ivan Gasparovic and Janez Drnovsek respectively, will arrive in Zagreb on Friday morning at the start of the first plenary session of the summit focusing on the European integration process.
The first plenary session will be opened by President Mesic, Parliament Speaker Vladimir Seks and Prime Minister Ivo Sanader.
'Yalta, Yalta' is the most popular Croatian musical which humorously deals with the post-war division of the world at the 1945 Yalta conference.
