ZAGREB, Sept 28 (Hina) - A twinning project on the continuation ofsupport to the upgrading of the capacity of border management wasofficially completed on Wednesday. The project was carried out by theCroatian Interior Ministry in
cooperation with the interior ministriesof Germany and Slovenia.
ZAGREB, Sept 28 (Hina) - A twinning project on the continuation of
support to the upgrading of the capacity of border management was officially
completed on Wednesday. The project was carried out by the Croatian Interior
Ministry in cooperation with the interior ministries of Germany and
Slovenia. The implementation of the EUR500,000 project began in June
last year within the CARDS 2003 programme. It was approved by the European
Commission with the aim to improve the skillfulness of the Croatian border
police and advance cooperation between border police.
Present at Wednesday' ceremony in Zagreb were Croatian Interior
Minister Ivica Kirin, the head of the EC Delegation to Croatia, Vincent Degert,
German Ambassador Jurgen Staks and officials of the Slovene and German border
police forces.
