ZAGREB, Sept 25 (Hina) - Croatian police forces presented the exercisesof its special forces, riot units, and members of the Police Academyand the centre for the handling of guide and police dogs at Zagreb'srecreational area Jarun on
Sunday to mark Police Day, which iscelebrated on September 29, the day of St. Michael, the patron saintof Croatian police.
ZAGREB, Sept 25 (Hina) - Croatian police forces presented the
exercises of its special forces, riot units, and members of the Police Academy
and the centre for the handling of guide and police dogs at Zagreb's
recreational area Jarun on Sunday to mark Police Day, which is celebrated on
September 29, the day of St. Michael, the patron saint of Croatian police. This week, the police will stage numerous events to mark its day,
including an exhibition on the role of special police units in the Croatian
liberation operations "Flash" and "Storm", to be opened on Monday.
The exhibition will be staged to mark the 80th anniversary of the death
of Ivan Vucetic, a Croat considered to have introduced the modern method of
fingerprinting classification.
