During her meeting with representatives of the American Jewish organisation on Tuesday, Grabar-Kitarovic spoke of Croatia's efforts in the fight against anti-Semitism and its activities in that regard through the Organisation for Security and Cooperation Europe (OSCE).
The talks also focused on possibilities of cooperation in education on the consequences of the Holocaust.
The American Jewish Committee pledged full support to Croatia in its efforts to join Euro-Atlantic integration processes.
During her meeting with the special adviser to the secretary general, which took place on Monday, Grabar-Kitarovic pointed out the importance of the issue of gender equality in Croatia, saying that it was guaranteed by the constitution.
The minister cited statistical data on the position of women in Croatia and their participation in public and political life. She said that Croatia was actively promoting gender equality and that it has a representative on the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women.
Mayanja welcomed Croatia's efforts, saying that a lot had been done and that a lot was yet to be done both in Croatia and in other countries.
At the end of the meeting Mayanja asked Croatia to support a request for the number of annual meetings of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women to be increased.
Grabar-Kitarovic pledged Croatia's full support to the request and its active participation in the work of the Committee.
