During his visit, the Croatian president will have a series of meetings with other heads of state.
At the invitation of French President Jacques Chirac, Mesic will attend a summit of French-speaking countries. He is also due to attend a meeting of the so-called Clinton Initiative, a group of heads of state who will meet on the initiative of former US president Bill Clinton to discuss the current situation in the world.
On 14 September, Mesic will meet representatives of several influential non-governmental organisations and is also expected to meet a group of business people interested in investing in Croatia.
