The French company bought a manufacturing plant in the zone last year and equipped it with up-to-date technology. So far, eight million euros have been invested for this purpose.
Until the completion of the entire project, an additional two million euros are to be allocated. At the start of the production the plant will employ 95 people, with plans to create another 50 jobs later on.
The factory's executive director, Igor Rosandic, said that this year the plant's production would reach 10 million euros, while the annual capacity of the plant is 15 million euros.
Addressing today's ceremony in Slavonski Brod, Croatian President Stjepan Mesic said this plant in the Djuro Djakovic zone was a message to other investors that it was worth to invest in Croatia.
The French Ambassador to Croatia, Francois Saint Paul, said that the relations between Croatia and France were intensifying.
The number of French branches in Croatia has risen to 40 and those dynamic enterprises create new jobs, the French diplomat added.
Within the Djuro Djakovic free zone, 32 companies are currently operating, most of them being manufacturing units. Six of them are owned by foreigners.
