The Croatian Foreign Ministry and Maltese authorities are currently investigating circumstances surrounding the incident that occurred on Wednesday evening.
According to a press release issued by the ministry's public relation office, Croatia is willing to help Maltese authorities by providing all necessary information to deal with perpetrators in an appropriate manner.
The ministry is also willing to offer consular assistance to Croatian nationals in Malta.
Malta and Croatia played a match as part of the qualifiers in the European zone for the World Cup in Germany. After the game ended in a 1:1 draw, disgruntled Croatian fans demolished a part of the stadium in La Valetta and clashed with local police.
