According to the Central Bureau of Statistics, these six counties with a surplus in the trade are Osijek-Baranja the surplus of which was 41.47 million US dollars in the first half of 2005 when the county exported goods worth 269.95 million US dollar with the import of 228.47 million dollars; Virovitica-Podravina County with the surplus of 20.9 million US dollars; Sisak-Moslavina with the surplus of 16.5 million US dollars; Pozega-Slavonia with the surplus of 9.1 million dollars; Karlovac County with the surplus of 3.03 million US dollars and Lika-Senj County with the surplus of 2.36 million dollars.
The City of Zagreb makes up a majority of Croatia's export and import. In the first six months of 2005, the Croatian capital exported goods worth 1.49 billion US dollars, with the import totalling 5.14 billion dollars. Thus, the deficit in the trade of the City of Zagreb came to 3.65 billion US dollars making up over three quarters of the total Croatian deficit, namely 4.84 billion dollars, in the said period.
