SARAJEVO, Aug 13 (Hina) - Bosnian authorities have determined the route for the section of the pan-European Vc corridor running through Bosnia-Herzegovina and the only remaining issue to be solved is the southern end of the route where the section connects to Croatia, the Sarajevo-based Dnevni Avaz daily reported on Saturday.

Bosnian Transport Minister Branko Dokic was quoted by the daily as saying that the authorities should decide on a model to finance the project, adding that it was very likely that they would opt for the model of concessions.

Invitations for tenders are likely to be published in early 2006 and by mid-2006 all the project documentation should be finished.

According to a plan adopted by the Bosnian Transport and Communications Ministry, the northern end of the Bosnian section of the corridor is the town of Svilaj on the right bank of the Sava River. From Svilaj, the route continues via Modrica, Doboj, Zenica, to the capital of Sarajevo and further south to Mostar and the ancient town of Pocitelj by the Neretva River, and by the village of Medjugorje, a famous Catholic shrine, towards the southern border with Croatia.

The exit point on the border with Croatia will be determined during September.

The Bosnian section is 340 kilometres long, including 75 kilometres of tunnels and 33 kilometres of bridges.
