donate 800,000 euros this year for eightde-mining projects in three Croatian counties.
SISAK, July 27 (Hina) - The Croatian Mine Action Centre (HCR) and
the non-governmental organisation Arbeiter Samariter Bund (ASB) signed in Sisak
on Wednesday a memorandum of understanding under which the German government
will donate 800,000 euros this year for eight de-mining projects in three
Croatian counties. The memorandum was signed by HCR director Oto
Jungwirth and the head of the ASB office for Southeastern Europe, Wolfgang
Raschka, in the presence of the German Ambassador to Croatia.
So far the German government has donated 4.4 million euros for
de-mining projects in Croatia. With the latest donation, Germany's overall
assistance to Croatia in de-mining projects totals 5.2 million euros.
Deputy Ambassador Laurids Hoelscher said the cooperation between the
German government, the ASB, the HCR and Croatia would continue.
