Norway has invested EUR1.2 million in the state of the art centre, which will provide the basis for the establishment of a new integral mine information system, the HCR said in a press release.
Also present were representatives of Norway's State Geodetic Administration and the ProCaptura company, which is implementing the project and makes scanners and specialised software for the HCR.
The HCR said the project would be implemented until the end of 2006. The possibility of expanding and continuing it was considered today as well.
The implementation of the Scan Centre project makes Croatia the regional centre for scanning and the installation of programme packages for mine action centres in countries members of the South-East European Mine Action Coordination Council.
The Norwegian experts said they were satisfied with the implementation of the project so far, the press release said.
