"At the moment we don't have concrete evidence about the possible perpetrators," Mehun told Hina.
Speaking of last night's assault on two elderly Serb returnees in Ostrovica, Pupovac told the press today the police and the State Prosecutor's Office knew who planted explosives in Borovo Selo and Trpinja but were still not acting so that the perpetrators could be arrested.
"It is certainly in the interest of the police to find the perpetrators and when we have sufficient evidence we will certainly reveal the identity of the perpetrators," said Mehun.
Pupovac also told the press he was told by former Interior Minister Marijan Mlinaric that the investigation into the murder of Dusan Vidic, a Serb, in Karin Gornji was nearing completion and that an international arrest warrant was issued after the culprit.
Mehun said the police did not have concrete evidence into the Vidic murder and underlined that no arrest warrant was issued in that case.
"For the Croatian police a crime is a crime, regardless of the nationality of the victim or the perpetrator," Mehun said in response to Pupovac's claim that violence against Serbs and returnees was not decreasing because state bodies, the police and the judiciary, did not complete their jobs.
