During a regular inspection of a bus on the Croatian-Slovene border crossing of Bregana, Croatian border police found the weapons and ammunition in a wooden box hidden below clothes in the suspect's travel bag. The Bulgarian was travelling from Sofia to Dortmund.
According to the Zagreb police, the suspect, who was immediately arrested, intended to sell the 'lethal ballpoints' in Germany.
Last night, he was taken to an investigating judge in Zagreb. The police reported that it was still not known where the 'lethal ballpoints' were made.
