MOSTAR, July 14 (Hina) - Police delegations from Albania,
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia and Serbia-Montenegro began a two-day
meeting in the southern Bosnian city of Mostar on Thursday to discuss
possibilities for enhancing cooperation between border police forces in
countering crime. The meeting was organised by the European Union in
cooperation with the French Ministry of the Interior and the OSCE as part of a
CARDS regional project on the coordination of integrated border management.
The moderator of the event, Peter Karohl of the German federal police,
called for permanent cooperation between the border police forces of the five
south-eastern European countries.
