ZAGREB, June 21 (Hina) - Croatia's parliamentary delegation in the Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly has protested against the presence of Tomislav Nikolic, Serbian Radical Party (SRS) vice-president and member of Serbia and Montenegro's delegation in the Assembly, because he is suspected of killing

civilians in eastern Croatia, the Croatian delegation said in a statement on Tuesday.

The delegation lodged their protest after the Belgrade-based TV station B92 reported that Nikolic was suspected of killing 13 elderly residents of the eastern Croatian village of Antin.

The head of the delegation, Frano Matusic, said that Nikolic, although warned by the then president the Assembly for wearing a T-shirt with the image of war crimes suspect Vojislav Seselj, continued to wear the T-shirt during the session marking the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp.

Matusic warned that the Croatian delegation would walk out in protest every time Nikolic was present in the Assembly.

The delegation lodged the protest note with Parliamentary Assembly President Rene van der Linden and Council of Europe Secretary-General Terry Davis.
