ZAGREB, May 25 (Hina) - The World Congress of Museologists opened
in the Croatian State Archive in Zagreb on Wednesday, gathering the world's
leading experts in the application of information technology in museums. Over the next three days, 38 experts from nine countries -- Austria,
Canada, Croatia, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Russia and Singapore --
will deliver talks on museum documentation standards, digitalisation of the
cultural heritage, information dissemination, and designing an open access
knowledge system.
The conference was formally opened by Deputy Culture Minister Branka
Sulc.
