MOSTAR, April 18 (Hina) - The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Adnan Terzic, has said he is ready to meet Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader in order to settle the latest dispute over the free trade agreement.

"We are just asking for talks on the item that affects our (Bosnian) farmers. That is what I tried to explain to the former Prime Minister Ivica Racan and to the present one, Sanader," Terzic said in an interview with the Bosnian edition of the Zagreb-based Vecernji List daily published on Monday.

The dispute arose after the Council of Ministers unilaterally suspended a part of the free trade agreement with Croatia, imposing customs duties on a number of agricultural imports from Croatia. This displeased the Croatian government, with Sanader last week announcing the possibility of introducing countermeasures.

"I can say nothing about Croatia's intention to introduce countermeasures because it is a matter solely for them to decide," Terzic said in comment on Sanader's announcement of possible countermeasures.

"I am concerned about statements that relations between Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia will be dealt with in Brussels. Good neighbourly relations are not developed in Brussels, but in Zagreb and Sarajevo," he added.

Terzic said that Croatia did not want to discuss the dual citizenship treaty for the past two years during his premiership. "Croatia, however, is being driven by its European ambitions to settle this issue as well," he said.
