Mesic and Norway's most senior officials will talk possibilities of advancing bilateral relations and Croatia's integration into the European Union. They are also expected to discuss current world issues.
Croatia-Norway relations are very good and all-encompassing. The two countries have signed 12 agreements, including on free trade, economic cooperation, social insurance, and the avoidance of double taxation.
Trade between the two countries in 2003 was just under US$12 million, with Croatian exports accounting for only $1.4 million.
Norway gave Croatia about 700 million kuna in assistance through the end of 2003.
