The central event of the visit was a meeting with a Libyan delegation in the General Council for the Economy and Trade.
Vrankovic also visited the Association of Chambers of Commerce where the Croatian petrochemical company DIOKI and the Libyan oil company signed an agreement worth more than USD10 million.
Vrankovic said that in addition to oil and gas exploration projects, Croatia could also participate in infrastructure development projects in Libya, particularly in rail and road construction and electrification.
Libya invited Croatian companies to take part in the construction of railways and health centres and in other projects.
Meanwhile, 25 Croatian companies presented their products and services at the 34th international trade fair in Tripoli, which brought together more than 3,000 exhibitors from 38 countries. Among them were representatives of Croatia's oil and gas exploration sector, ceramics industry, agricultural, food and tobacco sector, cosmetic industry, metal processing industry, telecommunications, electrical equipment industry, construction, and agricultural machinery sector.
The Croatian delegation also visited the General Commission for Foreign Affairs, where both sides expressed their interest in improving cooperation in agriculture, shipbuilding and tourism, the statement said.
