Bozanic, left for Rome on Monday evening to attend the funeral of Pope John
Paul II and conclaves. Bozanic flew to Rome following a requiem mass
for the Holy Father in the Zagreb Cathedral, which was attended by more than
10,000 faithful.
Speaking to reporters before his departure, Bozanic said he was leaving
with a feeling of sorrow for the death of the Holy Father but also with a
feeling of pride that God had given us such a Pope.
