For us Muslims, Pope John Paul II will be remembered for the fact that he did the most for the establishment of fair relations between Catholics and Muslims. Muslims in Croatia remember with deep respect and sense of gratitude his visits to Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, when he strongly advocated fair inter-religious relations.
John Paul II leaves to his successor a great binding legacy, which is the greatest value and pride of the Catholic Church and Christianity in general," reads the letter signed by the head of the Islamic community, mufti Sevko Omerbasic.
