Slovenia declares Friday day of mourning for Pope

Prime Minister Janez Jansa told reporters that he, President Janez Drnovsek and Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel would be in the state delegation attending the Pope's funeral.

The Archbishop of Ljubljana, Alojz Uran, the Bishop of Maribor, Franc Kramberger, and the Bishop of Koper, Metod Pirih, will represent the Slovene Catholic Church at the funeral.

Slovenes were asked to observe three minutes of silence on Friday as a mark of respect for the deceased pope.
