Mesic and Buckovski talked about bilateral issues and Euro-Atlantic integration processes, the statement said.
The two officials said Croatia and Macedonia did not have any outstanding issues, and that the bilateral relations were good, but added that it was necessary to improve economic cooperation.
Croatia and Macedonia have a good legal framework for cooperation given that Zagreb and Skopje have so far signed 25 bilateral agreements, including the one on cooperation within the framework of drawing closer to the European Union.
Apart from bilateral relations and the current state of affairs in both countries, the talks also focused on drawing closer to Euro-Atlantic associations -- the strategic objective of both countries.
Buckovski said Croatia could assist Macedonia on its path to the EU, and Mesic agreed with him.
