In the letter sent from Buchs in Switzerland, the association's president for Europe, Vinko Sabljo said the CWC was concerned with the continuing process of stripping the Croat people in Bosnia of their rights. Sabljo said that Ashdown's devotion to personally pressure Croat officials was "impressive" .
Earlier this month, Bosnia-Herzegovina's State Prosecutor's Office issued an indictment against Covic on suspicion of involvement in white-collar crime.
A source from the Office of the High Representative for Bosnia-Herzegovina told Hina that Ashdown would replace Covic on Tuesday, March 29, after Covic declined to resign.
