LJUBLJANA, March 24 (Hina) - According to the latest opinion polls, support of Slovene citizens for the policy of the incumbent government is very high, but most Slovenes believe that Prime Minister Janez Jansa has one weak point - he advocates the opening of Croatia's EU entry talks as soon as possible.

Jansa's centre-right government, formed almost four months ago, enjoys the support of 61 percent of citizens, according to the latest survey of the Politbarometar agency, which conducts such surveys every month.

The survey also included the question of how Slovenes perceive the postponement of Croatia's EU entry talks. The decision to postpone the talks was supported by 64 percent of respondents. Only 23 percent were against the EU's reservations towards the start of the talks, although PM Jansa believes that the start of the talks would be of strategic benefit to Slovenia as well.
