ZAGREB, March 14 (Hina) - Croatia's Deputy Prime Minister and Ministerof Family and War Veterans Affairs and Inter-generational Solidarity,Jadranka Kosor, held a meeting with the director general of theInternational Organisation for
Migration (IOM), Brunson McKinley, inGeneva on Monday, the Croatian government said in a statement.
ZAGREB, March 14 (Hina) - Croatia's Deputy Prime Minister and
Minister of Family and War Veterans Affairs and Inter-generational Solidarity,
Jadranka Kosor, held a meeting with the director general of the International
Organisation for Migration (IOM), Brunson McKinley, in Geneva on Monday, the
Croatian government said in a statement. Kosor met McKinley within
the 61st session of the United Nations' Human Rights Commission which has
started in Geneva. She presented the IOM official with a national programme for
the prevention of human trafficking for the 2005-2008 period.
McKinley expressed satisfaction with the programme, stating that it
could serve as an example for other countries in the region.
Kosor commended the IOM's initiative to launch a new project for the
self-employment of Croatian war veterans.
At the end of the meeting, Kosor invited McKinley to visit Croatia,
which he accepted.
