The conference adopted three political resolutions and an action plan defining the activities of the Council of Europe in the area of the mass media in the next four years.
Delegations from about 40 countries discussed, among other issues, transparency of media ownership, saying that this was important in order to prevent media concentration and to ensure pluralism in the media sector.
Croatian Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic held a working meeting his Ukrainian counterpart, Oksana Bilozir. They talked about Croatian Film Days, an event that will take place in Kiev and Lvov at the end of this month, exchanges of art exhibitions and translation of literature.
