At today's session the government decided to send a diplomatic note to representatives of Bosnia-Herzegovina in Croatia and the Croatian Ambassador to Sarajevo, who will deliver it to the Bosnian authorities.
The decision of Bosnia-Herzegovina's Council of Ministers refers to 23 agricultural and food products and imposes customs duties on milk and dairy products, and meat and some meat products.
The government said it expected that the decision would be withdrawn in the shortest possible time and that joint efforts would be invested to find the best possible solution for both countries, said a state secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Marija Pejcinovic Buric.
The decision affects only Croatian exporters, and not those from other countries, despite the fact that none of the 23 products to which it refers receive production or export subsidies, she said.
The Council of Ministers passed the decision in anticipation of a bilateral meeting, thus jeopardising the positive efforts that have been made so far and burdening relations between the two countries, it was said.
