The Bosnian side outlined its problems in the production of meat and dairy products and proposed an annexe for the import of those products from Croatia. The Croatian side said it was not authorised to change the preferential tariffs stipulated in the free trade agreement and urged finding another mutually satisfying solution.
The two sides agreed to meet in the second half of March after exchanging statistical figures.
Both agreed the free trade agreement was good although they said that despite the growth of Bosnian export to Croatia since its going into force, Bosnia continued to record a deficit in trade with Croatia.
Last year's trade was USD1.5 billion, 1.15 billion of which were Croatian exports. Since the free trade agreement went into force in 2001, Croatian exports to Bosnia have gone up 106 percent while imports have gone up 175 percent.
