MOSTAR, March 9 (Hina) - The prosecutor for organised crime in
Bosnia's State Prosecutor's Office, John McNair, on Wednesday withdrew part of
an indictment referring to four of seven Bosnian Croat officials accused of
undermining the territorial integrity of the country's Croat-Muslim entity by
advocating Croat self-government.Nenad Gvozdic, attorney for one of the accused, Petar Milic, told Hina
the withdrawal referred to his client, Marko Tokic, Zdravko Batinic, and Ivo
Andric Luzanski. He said these four had not held leading positions from which
they could have undermined territorial integrity.
Gvozdic said the Croat self-government charge still applied for Ante
Jelavic, former leader of Bosnia's Croatian Democratic Union party, Miroslav
Prce, former defence minister of the Croat-Muslim entity, and Dragan Curcic, a
general of the Croat Defence Council. They are also accused of abuse of office
and undermining the entity's defensive power.
