ZAGREB, March 7 (Hina) - The prime ministers of Croatia and Slovenia, Ivo Sanader and Janez Jansa respectively, on Sunday held a working meeting at Bovec, Slovenia, to discuss ways to solve outstanding issues between the two countries, the Croatian government said in a statement.

The two prime ministers agreed that conditions had been created to establish a joint historical commission.

Special attention was dedicated to ways to bring closer the two countries' positions on a declaration on the avoidance of incidents at sea, as well as on an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and preparations for joint sessions of the two governments.

Sanader informed Jansa of his government's efforts to establish full cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague, which is a precondition for the start of Croatia's EU entry talks.

Jansa expressed hope that the recently presented guarantees and evidence of Croatia's cooperation with the tribunal would be accepted, the statement said.
