"Croatia is doing everything as part of a coordinated diplomatic activity, and I believe that we will prove our credibility to our partners, friends and everyone in Europe and meet our commitments," she told the press after Prime Minister Ivo Sanader's meeting with the leaders of parliamentary parties.
She said the PM briefed them about Croatia's efforts to meet the criteria of cooperation with the Hague war crimes tribunal.
Asked about remarks from the EU that there should be no false optimism as to the start of the entry talks on March 17, Grabar-Kitarovic said Croatia was continuing with the negotiations because no one had said they would not start on that date.
She said Sanader would send a letter to European leaders, as would the opposition leaders, to inform their partners about Croatia's efforts to cooperate with the UN court. The PM made a request to that effect today.
Grabar-Kitarovic said the names of members of the negotiating teams were supposed to be discussed today but were not because Peasant Party leader Zlatko Tomcic was ill and People's Party leader Vesna Pusic was unable to attend.
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday.
Asked if a new indictment might arrive from the Hague tribunal, the minister said she had no information about that.
