Bosnian state television said last night that three Bosnians, two Macedonians and one Croatian citizen from an Arnoro passenger plane had been captured in Gabon.
The Croatian Foreign Ministry has found that the Croatian citizen, Aleksandar Zovic, has dual Croatian and Macedonian citizenship and that he resides in Macedonia, Bradic told Hina.
He said the six-member crew was currently at Air France's premises in Gabon and was expected to leave the capital Libreville aboard an Air France plane on Saturday morning. He added the money for their return had been secured by Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Commenting on reports that the plane crew were in some kind of detention in Gabon, the manager of the Sarajevo-based Arnoro, Zoran Vuckovic, said earlier today the reason for the incident was irregular payment of the lease by the Canadian company Azima Aviation, which caused a delay in the payment of the crew's salaries.
"This simply prompted a nervous reaction on the part of the crew," Vuckovic said, dismissing reports that the plane or the crew had been kidnapped.
He confirmed that the aircraft and its crew were under protection by armed persons, but added this was due to general lack of security in Gabon.
The contract with the Canadian company, which sub-leased the plane to Air Max Gabon, will be terminated in the next 24 hours and the plane will return to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Vuckovic said.
