"We talked about the situation in the European Commission in relation to the start of negotiations with Croatia and I informed him of what Croatia is doing to meet its obligations," Zuzul told Hina in Luxembourg.
He said the talks also focused on Michel's visit to Croatia and Vukovar, where he has been declared honorary citizen of that eastern town for his contribution to the peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danube River region.
Zuzul held several bilateral meetings in Brussels, including one with the Luxembourg Development Minister, Jean-Louis Schiltz, the Foreign Minister of Cyprus, George Iacovu, and state secretaries in the Foreign Ministries of Italy, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. All the officials supported the start of Croatia's EU entry talks.
Michel presented a new European declaration on development.
Zuzul also took part in a debate on the Millennium development objectives, expressing Croatia's support to the project and the implementation of concrete actions.
