MOSTAR, Feb 3 (Hina) - The Interior Ministry of the Federation ofBosnia-Herzegovina has requested cantonal ministries of the interiorto check if the runaway Croatian general Ante Gotovina, indicted forwar crimes by the Hague tribunal,
is in its territory, the spokesmanfor the ministry, Robert Cvrtan, told Hina on Thursday.
MOSTAR, Feb 3 (Hina) - The Interior Ministry of the Federation of
Bosnia-Herzegovina has requested cantonal ministries of the interior to check
if the runaway Croatian general Ante Gotovina, indicted for war crimes by the
Hague tribunal, is in its territory, the spokesman for the ministry, Robert
Cvrtan, told Hina on Thursday."We have no information for the time being on whether Gotovina is in the
territory of the Federation, but we have been exchanging information with the
European Union Force (EUFOR) with regard to all fugitives of the Hague
tribunal," Cvrtan said.
The Bosnian border service today stated that it was cooperating with the
EUFOR in the search for runaway indictees of the UN tribunal, but that it had
no information on Gotovina's possible stay in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
