The Ministry of Science, Education and Sport has adopted a programme of support to the education sector, defining education development goals by the year 2010. The programme was prepared in cooperation with the World Bank and was finalised at a meeting between the two parties in the Ministry on Saturday.
The programme is aimed at the development of curricula, new models of student evaluation, professional development of teachers, education management, and education infrastructure in Croatia.
The World Bank Office said that the programme was the first such investment loan in the region, that it covered the entire education system, and that it would be implemented from 2005 to 2009.
