Del Ponte is scheduled to discuss the issue with European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso and the EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, Javier Solana.
European Commission spokeswoman Francoise Le Bail said on Wednesday that the talks with Barroso would mainly focus on Croatia, which is to start membership talks on March 17 provided that it fully cooperates with the Hague-based tribunal.
A statement from Solana's office said that the meeting would be an opportunity to discuss the latest developments and assess the present state of affairs in the Balkans with regard to cooperation with the ICTY.
