Seks informed his guests of the steps the Croatian Parliament had taken as part of preparations for pre-accession negotiations with the European Union, including the establishment of a national committee that would monitor the negotiating process and documents regulating the Parliament's role in conducting the talks with the EU.
Seks said that the Croatian government and the president of the republic had the full support of the parliament for taking all the necessary steps in order to remove the reservations of the chief prosecutor of the Hague war crimes tribunal and some EU member states about Croatia's cooperation with the tribunal.
Lang said that Croatia enjoyed the support of the Estonian Parliament for its efforts to become a full member of the European Union as soon as possible.
Lang said that Estonia was surprised by the latest statement of EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn on Croatia's cooperation with the tribunal, and that it expected that the European Commission would give an explanation of the statement.
