IFJ: 129 journalists killed last year

ZAGREB, Jan 28 (Hina) - Faced with the fact that in 2004, 129journalists, reporters cameramen and other media workers were killedin the world, the International Federation of Journalist (IFJ) sent anappeal to the United Nations and world governments on January 18 toseriously examine their responsibility for the existing situations,said a statement signed by IFJ president Christopher Warren which theCroatian Journalists' Association received on Friday.
ZAGREB, Jan 28 (Hina) - Faced with the fact that in 2004, 129 journalists, reporters cameramen and other media workers were killed in the world, the International Federation of Journalist (IFJ) sent an appeal to the United Nations and world governments on January 18 to seriously examine their responsibility for the existing situations, said a statement signed by IFJ president Christopher Warren which the Croatian Journalists' Association received on Friday.

The IFJ report focuses on 34 countries in which journalists were killed. The organisations is asking those countries to fully assume responsibility and discover perpetrators.
