This was the 58th such event, which brings together ethnic Croats from Vienna, Burgenland (Croatian name Gradisce), Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Its purpose is to promote friendship and cooperation and to foster the Croatian language, culture and customs.
In attendance, among others, was Croatian Assistant Foreign Minister Slavko Leban, who said that Croatia supported the activities of the Burgenland Croats and other Croatian minorities abroad. He praised the Croatian minority in Austria for being very well organised and enterprising, and highlighted their role as a bridge between Croatia and Austria.
