ZAGREB, Jan 17 (Hina) - Croatia's year-on-year Gross Domestic Productgrowth rate in the first nine months of 2004 was slightly lower thanin the first six months, totalling 3.9 per cent as against 4 per centin the first half of last
year, according to figures from the NationalBureau of Statistics released on Monday.
ZAGREB, Jan 17 (Hina) - Croatia's year-on-year Gross Domestic Product
growth rate in the first nine months of 2004 was slightly lower than in the
first six months, totalling 3.9 per cent as against 4 per cent in the first
half of last year, according to figures from the National Bureau of Statistics
released on Monday.The GDP growth rate was 4.2 per cent in the first quarter, 3.8 per cent
in the second and 3.6 per cent in the third quarter of 2004.
The third quarter of 2004 saw a sharp slowdown in fixed capital
investments from a high 17.6 per cent to a mere 0.5 per cent, and exports
dropped from 8.3 per cent in the third quarter of 2003 to 5.5 per cent in the
same period last year.
