Zawisza, a member of the centre-right Law and Justice party, has attended several scientific and political forums during his present visit to Croatia, speaking about the Polish law on family planning, protection of the fetus and conditions under which an abortion is allowed.
The Polish parliamentarian presented current political and public views on the protection of life in Poland, saying that it had not changed since the country's admission to the European Union in May last year, and that Polish legislation regulating this issue was similar to that of Ireland, Portugal and Malta.
Zawisza pointed out that during accession talks Poland had won the right that the EU would not interfere in Polish legislation regarding the issue of protection of human life.
