Asked at a press conference in Zagreb to comment on Mesic's statement that there were grounds for suspicion that her campaign was being used for money laundering, she said: "We have not yet learned details of financing of his campaign at the last presidential election."
Kosor added that allegations of money laundering were serious accusations and that Mesic would have to corroborate them with evidence.
Kosor today received support from the umbrella organisation of farmers, the Alliance of Agricultural Associations, whose leader, Antun Laslo, said that she was the only candidate to have raised the problem of Croatian farmers.
"Let's hope Kosor wins the election, and if she does, I will certainly give her hard time if she fails to deliver on her promises," Laslo said.
Speaking of her election platform, Kosor said that she would focus on the protection of Croatian national interests during membership talks with the European Union, particularly in connection with production quotas.
Kosor said that if elected, she would advocate the liberalisation of the market and promotion of the competitiveness of Croatian products by increasing agricultural and fishing subsidies.
Kosor said that she would ask the government to keep the moratorium on the sale of farm land to foreign legal and natural persons in place for as long as possible, citing the case of Poland. She added that would also call for the protection of fisheries, the improvement of the status of fishermen, and the modernisation of the fishing fleet.
