The head of the Croatian Tourist Board office in London, Josip Lozic, said on Thursday that the hour-long broadcast on Plitvice Lakes, called "The Land of the Falling Lakes", was shown as part of the BBC series "Natural World". He added that the programme was believed to have been seen by some 2.6 million BBC viewers.
Croatia's tourism and yachting has attracted great interest among British and Irish tour-operators and individual boaters at this week's Boat Show in London, Lozic said, adding that Croatia could expect up to 20 percent more arrivals from Great Britain.
Compared to last year, when some 80 British tour-operators included Croatia in their programmes, this year Croatia was included in the programmes of more than 150 tour-operators.
Croatia's tourism is this week also being presented at the Holiday Show in Manchester.
