ZAGREB, Jan 12 (Hina) - The association gathering the founders of theCroatian Democratic Union (HDZ), "Dr. Franjo Tudjman", and theCroatian Victimology Society issued statements on Wednesday supportingthe HDZ's presidential candidate, Jadranka Kosor, in the January 16run-off election for Croatia's president.
ZAGREB, Jan 12 (Hina) - The association gathering the founders of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), "Dr. Franjo Tudjman", and the Croatian Victimology Society issued statements on Wednesday supporting the HDZ's presidential candidate, Jadranka Kosor, in the January 16 run-off election for Croatia's president.

Commenting on presidential candidate Stjepan Mesic's statement that he would be supported by the HDZ's founders, the association "Dr. Franjo Tudjman" said that Mesic had abandoned the party's main principles.

The Croatian Victimology Society called on its members and citizens to vote for Kosor, stating that she had consistently advocated the rights of displaced and missing persons in her career as a reporter and politician.
