"I expected Zuzul to resign," Kosor said, adding that there was a number of reasons why she had expected his resignation, but she would not elaborate on them.
She said that the resignation had nothing to do with the presidential elections and that it was Zuzul who should be asked about the reasons.
Answering reporters' questions, Kosor said that she had no information on whether more resignations could be expected.
Asked about the possibility that Health Minister Andrija Hebrang may resign, Kosor said she was not familiar with such announcements, that she had contacted Hebrang on the phone, and that he would probably soon address the public about his health condition and the future course of his political career.
Commenting on presidential candidate Stjepan Mesic's claim that the government was financing her presidential campaign, Kosor said that this was absolutely false and that her campaign was being financed by the HDZ.
Mesic's claim was today also dismissed by the government.
