Two of those arrested are members of the Alliance for Kosovo's Future, the third biggest party in the southern Serbian province, said Radio Kosovo, adding that one of them was an advisor at the Labour and Social Welfare Ministry.
The police confirmed the arrests, saying in a statement that a large amount of arms was seized during a raid of a location in Drenica.
The Kosovo government said in a statement last night it was deeply concerned about the fact that one of its officials might be involved in crime. "We strongly condemn every unlawful action and such persons have no place in the Kosovo government."
The Alliance for Kosovo's Future, which has about one-third of ministers in the government, vehemently condemned the conduct of its two members, asking that legal action be taken.
